Fire Department
The City of Trumann has a full time Fire Department with 6 full time Firemen and 12 volunteers. The department has 6 trucks, up-to-date extrication tools, a boat for water search and rescue, a Kubota all-terrain vehicle for land search and rescue and wild land fires, and first-responder equipment. All fire department personnel are first-responders. Four of the full time firemen are Hazmat technicians. Trumann’s Fire Department is theonly full time paid fire department in Poinsett County. The department provides on call service 24/7. The City’s ISO rating is 4.


Police Department
The City of Trumann has a full time Police Department with 18 fulltime police officers and 2 reserve officers. One of the full time officers serves as a school resource officer; another serves as animal control officer. The Department has 5 dispatchers and 2 administrative assistants. The Police Department is located at the Municipal Complex at 100 S Melton Ave. along with the Trumann District Court. The Department has 21 vehicles for official use.
